Description
Parivritta Janu Shirshasana is an effective yoga pose to cure backache.
How to:
Sit on floor with your chest upright and legs widened. Then, bend your left-knee by pushing your heel into the left groin. Now bend your right knee slightly by sliding your heel few inches towards your right buttock.
Then, exhale by leaning rightward and pressing the back of your right-shoulder against inner part of right knee. Place your right-forearm on the floor within your right-leg with palms facing upwards. Now, lengthen your right portion of torso along inner side of the right thigh. Proceed to turn right palm towards the inner edge of the foot and hold it, with thumb on top part of foot and fingers on sole.
Keep in mind, this pose is fastened by femur-bone of left leg. Then, press left femur tightly on the floor, now as you take in breath extend your right-knee slowly. Now keep back of shoulder linked to the inner knee while extending them, you will find that torso is pushed outwards by straightening knee. While your knee remains straight, twist your chest towards the ceiling.
Then, inhale your left arm straight upwards, towards the ceiling by leaning backwards slightly, then with one more inhalation, sweep behind left ear. Along with this, withhold the outer edge of the right foot. Now press elbows farther and use them as crank to assist upper portion of torso further. Proceed to look at the ceiling.
Remain in this balance yoga pose for a minute. In order to come back to the original position, untwist your chest by sweeping leftwards between your legs. Now inhale and rise to the upright position. Make sure not to come back directly from twisted position. Follow these steps to other side too for same duration of time.

The beginner yoga pose serves several benefits such as:
